Overview – A highly interactive programme focusing on enhancing your management skills for success in your workplace. The programme will provide you with the essential techniques that will help you to effectively manage the interactions you have with people. It will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage challenging situations. You will also gain the personal skills to organise and develop your managerial role and learn how to foster an environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Leadership, Delegation and Time Management
This module will help participants understand different leadership and management styles and their impact on a team. It will provide managers with a development opportunity which will set the foundation for sustainable team and company development while enhancing their personal capabilities in a highly transferable manner.
Managing Performance, Coaching and Performance Improvement
This module will develop the skills and understanding among managers to set up and develop performance management systems and develop their skills in coaching allows leaders to communicate immediate changes or actions to be taken by employees that can improve the performance of the individual, team, and organization. Participantsd will be able to set departmental and individual SMART objectives based on the organisational objectives to improve performance within a team.
Building High Performance Teams
This module aims to look at the role of the manager as a leader of a team. It will analyse how teams are built by developing the right mix of people and outline how they can be motivated by a confident leader. It will explore in detail what makes a team, how to build a high performance team, how to structure work in teams and ultimately how to get the most from a team.
Legislation, Regulation and Policies
The aim of this module is to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of Irish employment legislation. This module is practical in nature and is designed to ensure managers are up to date with current employment legislation thus ensuring full compliance
Assertive and Effective Communication
This module will explore the vital pre-requisites for excellent communication and will highlight that effective, efficient communicators are people who can identify the right people to talk to at the right time and with the right approach. Participants will learn how to communicate confidently as a leader and positively with clients, colleagues and staff in a variety of situations.
