Overview – This comprehensive programme enables participants to acquire a knowledge and understanding of the coaching process, the variety of styles, skills and techniques that are appropriate to the context in which coaching takes place. Participants will learn to develop a coaching style which meets individual and business needs. Participants will understand how to coach to improve performance and positive change in the workplace. This programme will explore the fundamental skills, art and practice of coaching to enhance the motivation, performance and potential of your team.
Module Breakdown
Understanding the Coaching Model
This module will explore the distinctive nature of coaching as a tool for workplace competencies and career development. Participants will gain an understanding of the introduction of coaching and the benefits and challenges to coaching. Participants will learn to develop a coaching style which meets individual and business needs.
Build the Coaching Relationship
This module will explore practical methods to providing effective feedback to others in a way that encourages positive change and they will understand how to coach to improve individual performance. Participants will learn how to question, listen and negotiate effectively and to explore the G.R.O.W model of coaching.
Build Personal Effectiveness as a Coach
This module aims to develop personal effectiveness as a coach and manage a coaching programme and evaluate the effectiveness of coaching as a competency development tool. Participants will understand the relationship between coaching and other performance management techniques and will understand the key coaching styles (input and output) and learn to put these into action.
Managing and Practicing the Coaching Process
This module manages to explore a coaching programme and evaluate the effectiveness of coaching as a competency development tool. Participants will conduct practice coaching sessions as Coach and Coachee and
discuss and evaluate effective feedback. This practice session aims at identifying key strengths and areas for development.

Entry Requirements
- Level 5 or equivalent in a relevant subject area
- Proficient in the English language
